Portugal: 0
Brazil: 0
So they tied with nil. But no complaints here, it was a good game. I was mostly satisfied, minus the fact that KAKA AND ELANO DIDN'T GET TO PLAY! Kaka, cause of that stupid red card, and Elano because of that injury. And Robinho because I DON'T KNOW WHY. He wasn't injured. He didn't have a red card. Get your ass in the game.
I can't even explain how much I wanted to see Kaka go against Cristiano Ronaldo, since they're both like, the best soccer players on their team (imo).
Anyway, both teams played a great game. Of course, Brazil had the ball longer than their opponent, as usual. They both had some really good "almost-goals", but there was always that one thing that got in the way of a perfect goal. Deflections, tripping, running smack into each other. It was a very interesting game. So, good job guys.
But I have one thing to say: Brazil, win that damn game against Chile on Monday. Or else, I'm flying to Brazil to help the civilians pelt fruit at you as you exit the plane.
Now, here in America, that's not what we do. Most people here don't care for soccer, except when it comes to the World Cup. In fact, I didn't even know the name of our city's soccer team til my brother told me yesterday. Anyway, the only time people go that crazy over sports is over in the east, in Boston, and New York, what with the crazy ass Yankees vs Red Sox thing going on.
Death threats, mobs, etc. are common courtesy in this rivalry. My brother told me that, was it France or Italy? well, one of them...got pelted with rotten tomatoes for losing the World Cup in previous years. That stinks. There's the one, tiny pile of shit in your thick-as-hell silver lining of being an athlete. I'd die to be pelted with tomatoes for the money those lucky bitches get. So no complaints, y'hear?
Anyway, Brazil needs to beat Chile on Monday, and Portugal needs to beat...who is it, Spain? on Tuesday. In the end, I hope it's these two facing off. But god dammit, we still got Argentina in the way. And god dammit, they've got Messi. And god dammit, he's got skill. I hate to say this, but he's better than Kaka and Ronaldo, god dammit. >:(
But Brazil's got the best team on the planet, god dammit, and they'd better win this thing.
On a worse note, I'm horrified to say that Kaka might not be in the next World Cup in 4 years. He'll be 32, which is kind of old in soccer terms. But hopefully, he'll be in the Olympics in 2 years. He better be, anyway.
So that's all for my god damned review. And that's enough god damned "god dammits". I'm annoyed with myself. :/
