College and Christmas.

So I've been applying, applying, applying to colleges for the past 2-3 months and let me tell you, it is EXHAUSTING. I had to write so many fucking essays and short answers for the applications and supplements, and all that shit. When I'm not submitting applications, I'm sending transcripts, recommendation letters, and fee waiver request forms to various colleges. And when I'm not doing THAT, I'm sending SAT and ACT scores. Thank GOD I'm done with applications for the year and the majority of my college stuff is done. I still have a few more things to submit next year, to the colleges with late deadlines, but it's only a few things.
Ya know when people say "you can relax senior year"? I think it applies to second semester and second semester ONLY. I've done a shitload of stuff this semester. My brain's about to burst. I've already been accepted to Baylor (stop, stop, hold the applause) but I need a lot more acceptance letters.

Anyway, I don't think I've written about Christmas yet. I totally got a new Android phone, touch screen, and it's fucking amaaaazing. I love it. I have Wifi and a whole bunch of cool features that my ghetto old phone didn't have. I also got nail polish, clothes, and matching winter attire. So I had a great Christmas.

Joy the World. <3

Bruno Mars.

So I'm pretty much in love with Bruno Mars. Like, really. I know everything about him. I love all his songs and I watch all his interviews on Youtube and follow him on Twitter. I'm seriously in love. Someone help.
I think he's amazing. I love how he has a sweet side but he's also sort of a G. He likes mahogany and OAK and punches small children in the throat.
The only thing I hate is when people say he is the new Michael Jackson. He can't be compared to Michael. NO ONE can. Yes, he looks like him and kind of sounds like him, and even sort of has that soft voice, but he ISN'T Michael.
But other than that, I looove him. His voice is incredible and he's so talented and like...perfect. He knows how to treat a girl (See "The Way You Are") but he's kind of naughty (he co-wrote "Right Round" which was about oral sex, and co-wrote "F**k You"). So he's perfect. I'm so gonna marry him.

Yeah yeah yeah, I'm being delusional and sound like an over-obsessed fan girl. I hate being like everyone else. I really really do. But my ultimate wish is to meet him one day. THAT I can do.

Harry Potter was awesome.

Warning: SPOILERS AHEAD.

So we all know how super fucking excited I was to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One in theaters. I've read the series God-knows-how-many times.
Jo's books have been my favorite since I first started reading after the 5th movie came out. I had gone to see the movie with my big brother like 4 years ago, and decided to read the books. So I read them. I finished the entire series in my freshman year of high school. I can remember discussing the last book with my friends in English II, and them ruining the fact that Fred had died. I remember crying all through the last book, cause everyone died.
Anyway, back to the movie. It was amazing. I loved everything about it.
I loved the opening sequence where it showed Hermione, Ron, and Harry in a state of distress, just kind of looking around, knowing that everything was changing for the worse. I love how it wasted no time at all, jumping right into the story. It was kind of emotional when Hermione erased herself from her parents' memories.
The 7 Harrys was absolutely genius. I love how there was some humor, even before an absolutely dangerous, life-risking mission to get Harry the hell out of there. When they got to the burrow, they had to test each other to make sure there were no imposters. They knew that someone had ratted them out. George got his ear cut off, and I imagined the whole "holey" scene a bit funnier, but it wasn't a big deal.
Bill and Fleur's wedding was adorable. And by the way, I thought the dude who was cast for Bill was perfect. He was cute and charming, like how I imagined Bill would look, with long hair. Fleur wasn't nearly as beautiful as she was supposed to be, though.
Then the whole message about the ministry interrupted them all, reminding them that there were still worse things going on in the world. After Harry spoke to Elphias Doge and that other woman about Bethilda Bagshot, that thing came, telling them that the minister of magic had been murdered. Then the death eaters attacked them, and the three of them disapparated into the middle of the city. I loved the way they made her little beaded bag, and the whole coffee restaurant scene with the death eaters trying to kill them.
I thought it was really cute how Ron didn't know anything about the muggle world, and how Harry didn't know the fairy tales of the wizarding world. So, yeah. I can't write about everything in the movie, it was over two hours long. So I'll skip to some parts.
Most things in the movie is EXACTLY how I imagined what happened in the book. Like Sirius' house, Kreacher, the three sleeping in the tent, and the whole Malfoy's house scene. I loved the way Yates (who I previously hated for screwing up the past movies) portrayed the Malfoy scene. Although a lot more things went down in that dungeon, I'm glad they cut to the chase.
Lastly, I loved the way they ended the movie. It was the PERFECT place to end it.

Now, part 2 BETTER blow. me. AWAY. XD

A Pep Rally to Remember.

Yeah, I'm pretty damn sure you all know by now that Jay Sean came to my school yesterday for our last pep rally of the football season. It was pretty fucking awesome. He gave us a mini concert. We were all jumping up and going crazy on the bleachers. And he pointed at me. TWICE. Hehe. I'm not gonna lie and say I've always been his biggest fan. But I do like some of his songs.
And idk, but Kiss FM's been to our pep rally twice, so someone's got the hook-up...Anyway, I heard Nicki Minaj was supposed to come but couldn't make. Rumor or not? I don't know. I DO know all the black people would've went crazy. When Jay Sean even mentioned her name, the whole gym erupted. And he was like "Yesterday was a very special day" and everyone went nuts. We all know Lil Wayne got outta jail on Thursday, not that I care much. I don't really like him.
Anyway, it was an amazing day. Only at LCHS. :) All the other schools were definitely jealous. And the seniors from last year tried to play it off like "Jay Sean? Who cares?" As if they had anyone special come last year for them. Anyway. It was awesome.

So...I'm out. ;)

Friday (Part II)

So after the pep rally, we started homecoming dance decorations in the cafeteria. I left at 5:30 to go home and eat. I came back at 6:30 because Marcus was taking Priscilla, Mai, and I to the game. We were like 6 minutes late, but Marcus and I rushed to the where the choir was right before we walked in. Then they announced the homecoming nominees, and Kristoddie and Jessica won king and queen.
When were done singing, we went to go sit by Mai and Priscilla. The game was fun, even though I think football is stupid. I found myself being the average American, yelling and screaming when they missed passes and cheering loudly when we got a touch down. It was my first ever football game. But were playing rivals so something was bound to go down.
During half time, as South's band was walking by, some idiots on our side were throwing things at them. Which is really stupid and disrespectful. Then a guy on South's team got hurt. He wasn't moving for a looong time and it was scary because everyone thought he was dead. An ambulance came onto the field and took him away. When a player gets hurt, you're supposed to be quiet and sit down. But some of the idiotic black ghetto hoes at the top decided to be ignorant and keep standing and making noise. "Why we gotta be quiet DANGG" "Laquisha, gurrrlll, give me my damn hot dog, shit!" I guess they were raised on the streets. I told my friends this is why no one likes black people. lol. Priscilla and I are African Americans, but those black Americans are really annoying and ignorant.
Anyway, our players played a good game, but we lost, 17 to 31. I walked away cussing angrily cause we lost, but as we were all walking away, a fight broke out on the field. According to my friend Janet who is a varsity cheerleader, South's football team thought one of our players Valerian attacked Jorge, the guy who was taken away in the ambulance, and like 8 of them beat him up. I was pissed as hell because it looked like our football team was just standing there amidst the chaos. Our administration was running around the field trying to stop the fighting, the coaches almost got into it with the other coaches, and it was all just crazy. When we got to the parking lot I was pissed as hell, cussing out South and our players that weren't helping Valerian. It was a crazy night.

And that's why I decided not to go to Homecoming. It was all too crazy. Our school showed how classless we were on Friday. I heard the homecoming dance was the best one yet. It was going to be my first and homecoming dance, but I don't care. In a way I regret not going, but whatever. What was there to come home to? Our students are just plain classless and I don't wanna "get down" with them. Who would want to? Besides, there's always Legacy and Prom. I don't know about Legacy, but I am DEFINITELY going to prom. No doubt about it.

So in conclusion, we are deeply screwed on Monday. Our principal and administration are probably going to take a lot of our priviliges away and chew us up and spit us out. I personally believe that the class of 2011 basically just gave the principal a reason to hate us even more. It's a shame, really. Homecoming week was fun and crazy, but I'm glad it's over. I just can't wait to get the hell out of high school and go on and do bigger and better things.

Summing up Friday (Part I)

So Friday was Code blue, right? We all wore blue, we showed our support at the homecoming pep rally. The game against South was that night. Of course I had to go, because being in A Cappella, we had to sing the national anthem. Anyway. The pep rally went well. Priscilla, Mai, and I had to carry our NHS float to present. Other organizations presenting their floats were Earth United, FCCLA, HOSA, AVID, and 2 others. But we won (yay!) The seniors won the spirit link contest. The spirit link contest is where all four classes donate money to their class and whoever has the most money wins the contest. My class, 2011, won, so we got our money plus everyone else's money to go towards our prom. Our class president donated 300 dollars, and one girl donated 80, plus others, so of course we won. The senior class got second place in the homecoming hallway decorations contest. So that was great.

Anyway, during the pep rally, there were skits and the cheerleaders, drill team, and minutemen did their shit, and the band and the color guard. And then four of our varsity football players had a request from four freshmen: Teach Me How to Dougie. Ayyee. So the four of them did their little dougie dance, and got crunk. Then the four freshmen did theirs, the two black kids did it right. The one white guy was funny but still got applauded, then the mixed girl didn't know what the hell she was doing. But it was funny. So the whole pep rally was hella entertaining.

Priscilla and I felt awesome being on the floor where all the important people stood. lol. Then we got to walk around during max duty without being interrogated by teachers. So it was cool.
Part II coming later.

Tacky Day, homecoming floats, and hall decorations.

So today was Tacky Day. It was a pretty good day. Of course you had the people that go over-the-top and made ya laugh. One being one of my best buddies, Priscilla and my friend Rashad.
<--------Priscilla

Rashad------------>

Others took a milder approach. Like Mai and I. I decided not to go all out this year. But it was fun, nonetheless.

<-------Mai

Me ------->

It was a funny day. But I stayed at school til about 10:30 pm, helping with homecoming things. Right after school we started working on our NHS homecoming float to present at the homecoming pep rally. I'm hoping we win. It started out hideous at first, but then ended up looking pretty darn fabulous, for the materials we had. We worked on that until about 8 pm.

<------- Our float. Don't get it confused with a huge, beautiful, parade float. We had to work with some wagon cart thing that will pushed. It took us hours to make. The palm trees look beautiful, and as you can see, we have lots of glitter, and all those frilly, grassy things at the bottom? Yeah, I did that. And that's my umbrella too. lol. I had to call Ashley and recruit her to come help, and as our "honorary officer", she did just that. It was totally nice of her to take time out of her day to come help us.

But homecoming hall decorations for our class took a long time too. The officers and a few others had been working on it since school ended. Then Mai, Ben, Christina, Sela and I went over to help them, since we had just finished our float. The theme for homecoming is Beyond Paradise, so we made a sun, a beach with surfboards and an umbrella, some palm trees, a sailboat, and a waterfall. It ended up looking great.

So. It's 11:23 pm, I'm exhausted, and my ass is going to bed.

Spirit Week

So this week is Spirit Week for Homecoming week and it's been really fun so far.
Monday was Nerd Day, Tuesday was Blast from the Past, and today was supposed to be College Day, but we, as defiant seniors, decided to do Pink Out for Breast Cancer Awareness month.

So the homecoming nominees for king are: Tee Jay, Matt, Valerian and Kristoddie (as always), and someone else..I forgot who.

The homecoming nominees for queen are: Jessica, Leslie, Janet, Tymbria, Jasmine, and Kiara.

The homecoming game is this Friday, and we're playing against the colonels, and we're so gonna get creamed. Then the dance is on Saturday. So my last year of high school is the first time I'll ever go to a high school football game...or any football game for that matter. And it's the first time I'll ever go to a homecoming dance. Or any school dance, for that matter. I'm doing all this because it's my senior year and I want the experience. My older brother and sister didn't take senior pictures like I did, they weren't in clubs or organizations like I am, and they certainly didn't care for games or dances. So I'm going with my own flow for my senior year.
I promised myself I'd make my senior year rock, and dammit, that's what I'm gonna do. Despite the fact that the principal hates the class of 2011, and despite the fact that the school is overpopulated, what with the 710 freshmen, and despite the fact that there's Max Duty everyday after school this year.

Anyway. Nerd Day was hilarious. The boys had all these pocket protectors and pens and protracters and it was too funny. Kelton kept walking around saying "hi, I'm Carl" in Steve Urkel's voice.

<-----My friends lol

Blast from the Past was hilarious too. While most of us dressed as hippies and people from the 80s and 50s, some others went a different direction. One guy came as a 15th century king, Mickey came as a slave; overalls, no shirt, and straw hat; and his friend came as his slave owner. It was awesome. I was a 60s hippie, which was pretty cool. But I've had enough flower power for one day.

And of course, today was Pink Out. Seniors came late and did the fitness gram, then we sat in the gym for like 2 fucking hours, then we went to 4th period. My fourth period is choir and we went on a mini field trip to the stadium to practice singing the national anthem, since we'll be singing it at the homecoming game this Friday. Then we went to Cici's and had a blast laughing at everyone and talking about random stuff.

The first two days of school.

So school started yesterday and blah blah blah. I was excited to see friends, pissed that we were in advisory for like an hour before we could actually start the day.
Wore those new jeggings I got from Citi Trends with a black shirt and open-toed flats. Whatever, ya know.
This is what my schedule looks like:

A1: Algebra II
A2: AP Chemistry
A3: Fashion Design
A4: A Cappela choir
A5: Senior Release

B1: Anatomy and Physiology Honors
B2: AP Chemistry again
B3: Freedom choir teacher aide
B4: English 5 Lit Dual Credit
B5: Economics Dual Credit

So it's pretty much the same as it was when I went to go fix it last week. Only adjustments I want are to get out of AP Chem. That class will undoubtedly kick my ass. A Cappela should be very fun this year with the new teacher and all the activities she planned, with some help from Janet and I aka the president and vice president. And being a Freedom choir aide should be absolutely awesome. I get to experience all the things they do without having to participate. If only I could actually do embellishments...Janet and I can make snark comments all day in that class. As far as choir goes, we'll have a blast this year. Christmas party at Janet's house, caroling at Northpark Mall, then shopping during school, a lock-in in January, a trip to Disney World or Colorado in March, and lots of other fun stuff.
None of my other classes are really worth mentioning. They either suck, are full of idiots, or just aren't cool enough to be talked about.
Well, except for Senior Release. It's fun knowing that I get to have it, cause some others can't. And I have it next semester as well. Fucking awesome. It was great to leave immediately after choir yesterday when there was still over an hour and thirty minutes of school left.

But whatever. Even though this is senior year and will be full of amazing fun memories, I have this gut feeling that it'll totally blow this year too. Whatevs, ya know?

Looking forward to a TERRIBLE year!

So, as all of us seniors found out recently, our school is going down in ruins. For us, anyway.
First of all, there are 700 fucking freshmen coming into our school. Thank you Dr. Hudson, for making LCHS go from worst school to best school in our district. But it's ruining my life. Last year was crowded on the first day school. So crowded we could barely move. There was a significant increase in the number of students that went to breakfast and took up all the seats, from my sophomore year to my junior year.
And now, everything's changing. Our attendance office looks like a pharmacy check-out. I swear, it's nice, but it doesn't match the ghetto look of the rest of the school. It's like, counselors office (which they made look much better), main office (which looks the same as before), then pharmacy center.
And then there's the fact that they moved around so many classes. If I hadn't gone over there to see what was going on with my schedule yesterday, I would have come to school with a whole bunch of shit classes I didn't sign up for.
Senior Leadership, English, AND French 3 are all A4, the same period as Choir. I had to get rid of clinical rotation so that English could be moved down, and eliminate french and senior lead. all together.
And now Dr. Hudson's taking all the seniors out of piano. Almost all of the extra curricular classes are filled, so I have to take fashion design, which I don't mind since my bff is taking it too. And per Dr. Hudson's new rules, seniors can't drop out of AP classes, so I'm stuck with AP Chem, which is double block, and I'm also taking Anatomy and physiology, which means I have 3 science classes. I'm an aide for Freedom choir, which rocks, but a lot of shit is screwed.
I literally called, texted, facebook'ed like 10 friends to inform them of all this and advise them to get their shit straight too. Like, wtf?
My senior year is NOT going down like this. Not on my fucking watch.

Looking Forward to a Fantabulous Senior Year.

So, yesterday, all the choir officers were supposed to show up to school to meet with Mrs. Butterworth. Only Janet and I showed up. AKA the president and the vice president. Haha. But it was very interesting. We made plans for the year. This year, we're gonna dominate; choir's gonna be awesome, we planned lots of parties, get-togethers, and we discussed three possible trips.
I've been to the past two trips for the past two years, and they were amazing. Going to Atlanta was freaking amazing, but the 14-hour bus trip was NOT. Going to Corpus Christi and seeing all things SEA was amazing, especially since there were only 13 people to share it with. For some reason, being in a small group makes the experience that much better because you all feel like a family.
Anyway, the three possible trips are New Orleans, Colorado, and fucking Disney World. I HAVE to get a job if I want to go there. I know it. It's like $1200 and that's excluding money for souvenirs and shit. I can't go with $140 like I did in Atlanta, or even worse, $80 like I did for Corpus. lol. NOT happening. We're talking at least $300. More is fine.
Anyway, I also need to go talk with the counselors and go un-fuck up my schedule.
Like, let's do this shit.

Do I talk too much about soccer?

Whoops. My bad. But I've helplessly been in love with the sport ever since the World Cup. Soccer saved me from a boring, stupid summer, and that's why it's so amazing to me. It's so entertaining to watch. I think it sucks that America isn't a soccer country, compared to like, Brazil, where soccer's practically a religion.
Anyway, this post will be about my favorite soccer players. Sorry I talk too much about it, but like I said, I'm like in LOVE with these people and this sport.

1. Ricardo Kaká [the Maestro]
This man. It's all because of him that I first fell in love with soccer. So you can thank him for me never shutting up about the sport nowadays. When I first saw him, he was being sent off by a ref with an unfair red card, in the game against Ivory Coast. I was wondering why the crowd was pissed and why my parents and brother were like "wtff". Then I saw the replay, and was all "that's stupid. He gets sent off for that? That dude just totally over-dramatized the entire thing." Then I saw his "this-is-so-ridiculous-smile" and it was gorgeous. Then I gradually found out more stuff about him. Plus BEFORE the World Cup began, my brother wouldn't shut up about him. Thus began my extreme love for Kaka. I watched some of his previous games on DVR, he was doing good, but not great, cause of his injury; but I saw some vids of him on Youtube, and he was absolutely brilliant, which made me love him even more. So, that's the story. Thank you Kaka; for getting me into soccer. You're my hero.

2. Cristiano Ronaldo
Wow. This man. He's known here in America for being extremely hot. But there's more to him than that. More than the average overly-obsessed fan girl sees. This man has SKILL. This dude is a beast at free kicks. This dude is fucking talented. He's one of the best in the world; forget what the haters say. The commentators know what they're saying when they his exceptional talent. After I became obsessed with Kaka, I became obsessed with Cristiano. True, he isn't known for his humility, but he's actually a good guy. I watched videos of him on Youtube, and saw him visiting children in the hospital and giving them gifts. He even wanted to see if he could become a marrow donor. He gained a lot of respect from me, I can tell you that. And his talent, his skill with the ball, his agility on the field sure don't take anything away. So thank you, Cristiano; for furthering my obsession with soccer, and for making me see how much a person can take it to the next level.

3. Mesut Özil
I think I'm in love with this guy. I ALMOST put him before Cristiano Ronaldo. That's how crazy I am about him. He's simply amazing. He's 21 and he will probably be one of the best in future years. Everyone, including me, saw his amazing talent during the World Cup. He proved himself to everybody. Love this guy. LOVE.THIS.GUY.

4. Sergio Ramos
Or as I like to call him, RrrrrrrrrrrrAMOOSSSS!!! I'm like, in love with this Spaniard.. I've only recently gotten into him, like Mesut Ozil, but I've loved him ever since. He's tough on the field and he's a kick ass defender. He's really skilled. And he's only 24 and has plenty of years of success ahead of him. And I'll be rooting for him all the way. VAMOS RAMOS!!!!

5. David Villa [the Blaze]
Impossible is NOTHING. Especially with this man. He led Spain to victory during this World Cup with his amazing goals. He made a goal in like every game, and he's one of the world's best strikers right now. #whattabeast. "A scorching flame fueled by La Furia Roja". See Impossible is Nothing Adidas commercial. Hehe.

:D

Dear Twitter. When the fuck are you NOT crashing?

If I see this fat ass whale taking a fucking joy ride ONE more time...
So there I was, telling my idol Kaka to get better because he's having some surgery, and he was responding to the many messages he's been receiving from fans. Then this stupid ass whale pops up. I'm tired of seeing this thing. C'mon guys, do we need to make a color-coded schedule? We can't ALL be on Twitter at the same fucking time. I can be on whenever I want, because I'm Chantal, and being Chantal automatically obligates me to do whatever I want. So in light of this situation, I sincerely hope that the Twitter crew fixes this. Ban people, do whatever ya gotta do to get rid of this whale. Kay? Cause it's pissing me off. A lot.

Kthanks.(:

Mesut Özil rocks my world.

He's German, he's unique, and he rocks my world. His name is Mesut Özil. He played for Germany during the World Cup and did excellent. I looked him up before and thought he was pretty cool, but now he has my full attention. He's one of my favorite players. Plus he's totally adorable. He's only twenty-one, so he's fresh talent, like Alexandre Pato, a Brazilian player. I have yet to find out more about him. When I get interested in someone, I go the full mile, and find out everything about them. It only took me a few days to completely familiarize myself with Kaka's style of play and other things. I've been watching Ozil in the WC matches on DVR. I've also become interested in Spain's team. David Villa, Sergio Ramos, Fernando Torres, Gerard Picque, Iker Casillas, Xabi Alonso, Xavi, Iniesta, Jesus Navas, etc. So I'm all over the place now.
By the way, he's inspired me to try and learn German, which I've always wanted to learn. I know I said I'm trying to learn Portuguese. So I have to get further in that before I start with German. But I WILL learn them. Both of them. It's a challenge I'm willing to take.

Brasiliero no coração.

Translation: Brazilian at heart.

How many times have I asked my parents why they moved to America instead of Brazil? I know the answer, and I'm glad I was born in the Land of Opportunity, but it would be nice to be a natural soccer beast, and know Portuguese.
I haven't gotten very far since I last blogged about learning the language, but I'm not giving up. I know some words. Like "quarto de dormir" means bedroom, which makes sense since "dormir" is sleep in French; Madame Hicks always tells us that there are so many Spanish/French cognates, so I guess it applies to Portuguese and Italian too.
"Bonito" and "linda" mean beautiful. Etc, etc. I'd sit here and tell you all the words and phrases I know, but I figure you're already bored, eh?

Anyway, when I saw Brazil playing during the World Cup, I fell in love with them for some reason. I first saw Kaka being sent off and got interested and wondered what was going on. They played well, I did some research, and the Chantal you know today is Brazilian-obsessed. I'm always tempted to call soccer "football" and spell Brazil like "Brasil". I love everything about that country except the fact that it's kind of in terrible condition, like people stealing cars all the time and what not. Ugh. But I guess it's the thought that counts.

Mark my words: I will travel to BraSil one day. My dream is to go to the 2014 World Cup. I can support USA AND Brazil, right? But we all know who's gonna win, don't we??? XD

Homework and Nigerians. Yeah.

Well, ever since I started taking government, I've been doing so much reading and answering questions. Ugh. But now I'm almost finished with the assignment I should have finished yesterday. :/ Our teacher is getting aggravated that every time she asks who finished reading, only about 3 people raise their hand, including me. Once, I was the only one who raised my hand. I felt like a nerd, but oh well, I'm a beast like that.
Moving on, next week is Igbo Day. For those unfamiliar with it, which is anybody who's not a Nigerian, it's a day when the young Igbos/Nigerians in America come to a certain venue and clash (held locally of course, wherever you live is where you go). We go parties all the time, but my siblings and I avoid for the most part, unless our parents force us to go. We're more socially-withheld from the young "Naijas" of this country, except those we know well. I generally don't like to associate myself with a lot of them because of their "holier-than-thou" outlook.
Anyway, during Igbo Day, parents, kids, teens all come and watch performances and shit, then party it up. Almost everyone shows up. My mom's taking us girls out shopping for formal stuff, dresses, shoes, etc. and the boys will probably go with dad. I'm semi-excited; it will be fun to catch up with people I haven't seen in forever. And on the other hand, I'll be forced to catch up with people I haven't seen in forever.
Because in the African community, you have to say all your "good mornings, afternoons, evenings" etc., and shake hands, and hug people you pretend to remember but really can't for shit. The whole thing's annoying, really.

By the way, I don't have an African accent. Some of my friends at school tend to ask me why I don't have one. WHY? I was born in fucking Texas. While I don't have a Texan accent, I have the farthest thing from an Igbo accent. I have the typical American accent. I only speak English, but I wish I could speak Igbo too. Oh well.

So....

So now that the World Cup is over, (Congrats Spain!!! I take back my "fuck whoever wins", I was angry as hell that Brazil was out. You know how it is.) I have nothing to completely obsess over which sucks, because I have to go back to my normal life. I was in a dream world of soccer for the longest time, and finally snapped out of it, two days after the World Cup ended. But thank Jesus that I have most of the matches (that I care about) on DVR. Thank God for DISH!
So since I last posted on the Fourth of July, I've had three drive times. The first two sucked, but the third one that I had yesterday was pretty darn good. And our teacher bought us donuts again. XD
I've also started taking government at our local community college, thanks to our school's dual program. My brother's taking it with me. It's going to be 5 weeks, and I have to wake up early everyday because class starts at 7:30 am. It's pretty interesting; my class has some pleasant intellectuals. And the teacher's pretty funny too. But there's a lot of reading to be done. Unfortunately, I couldn't sign up for Economics because I guess I came to late or something, and they only had an online class available, so now I have to go through the hell of that semester during school. Oh well, at least I'll have friends to suffer with.
On Saturday, my mom took us girls to Victoria's Secret with her $170 gift card (courtesy of Mother's Day) and bought a shit-load of stuff. Good stuff. Lotions, sprays, make-up, undergarments, you name it, we bought it. So that was fun.
I also turned in more applications, but THIS time, I turned them into the MANAGERS, and NOT the rabid employees. I only turned in three, to Aeropostale, Forever 21, and Anchor Blue. Hopefully someone calls me back.
Oh, and by the way, I'm still looking to buy a Kaka jersey. After the Cup ended, the price went from $22.00 to $9.97. So thank GOD.

And hopefully, more exciting things will happen to me this summer, because so far....LAME. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Traga no Português!

Translation: Bring on the Portuguese.

My goal is to learn Portuguese. Why? In honor of the Brazilian team that played brilliantly in the World Cup, with the exception of that game against those Dutch motherfuckers. I'm proud of my bonito Brazilian jogadores. Anyway, I'd been watching videos of Kaka and his team, and also Cristiano Ronaldo speaking, and I realized that I absolutely love their language. I think it sounds amazing. Compared to English, anyway. So I decided over a week ago, that I'd attempt to learn Portuguese. I'd love to say that I know a language other than English. So I just got Rosetta Stone, and all I have to do is commit and study, then I'll know all the basics. I don't know how I'll learn the grammar and stuff...maybe I'll take a Spanish class at Eastfield, since Spanish and Portuguese are similar, and since they don't offer Portuguese there. And I'm taking French III at school, but I don't think that will help, except for some cognates I guess.
Anyway, I'm out. I have a Fourth of July celebration to go to.

Happy Independence Day!!! I mean, Dia da Independência feliz!!!

Yay for Portuguese!

Friday, July 2, 2010

Well. It's all over.

You won't hear me rambling on and on about the World Cup. Now that Brazil lost 2-1 to the fucking Holland fuckers, this World Cup is nothing to me.
I still love all my bonito Brazilian jogadores.

Let's hear it one last time for BRAZIL! Woo-hoo!

So FUCK the fucking World Cup. Whoever wins, FUCK YOU. And fuck the Dutch douchebags.

The coolest commericial in the history of the world.

I know I've written like 6 or more entries between yesterday and today, but I'm bored, so bear with me.

Anyway, the world's coolest commercial in MY opinion just so happens to be the 2010 Nike Write The Future commercial, featuring some of the world's biggest soccer players of today: Drogba, Rooney, Ronaldinho, Cristiano Ronaldo, and a few others I don't know.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idLG6jh23yE

I think this commercial is just the best ever. Not only because it's soccer, my favorite sport ever, but because it has the coolest appeal to it. The way it looks, the players, the concept.
The coolest part is when Ronaldinho does that step-over thing, then it shows everyone around the world doing it, including Kobe Bryant after he makes a shot.
My favorite part is Cristiano Ronaldo's part. It's just amazing. Then the commercial goes off with "Write the future".

This might just be my most pointless post, but I love this commercial so much. XD

World Cupless and Time to Cruise

So, since there are no games in the World Cup until Friday (Brazil vs. Netherlands), I'm completely bored with nothing to do. I made some money yesterday for typing up some business cards at my dad's office (just $3) But every cent helps, because I'm saving up to buy a Kaka shirt. Approximately $22, $18 for youths. If I'd had a job by now, then I could get that shirt and more with no sweat. Now I have work my butt off, but hey, it's worth it. I put up a new set of Kaka and Ronaldo posters in my room.
<-----------------Yeah bitches, I made that beauty. I have two other collage posters like this in my room, except all Michael Jackson.
Anyway, what was I saying?...Oh yeah, so I'm trying to save up money to buy some sports shirts because I saw the commercial for Sports Authority, and decided to check out the website, and came across some cool Brazil and Kaka merchandise. The next day I go to my dad's office, he takes the kids out to the field and track to play, and they come back with a bag full of Sports Authority merchandise. What.the.fuck are the odds? So I missed out on the perfect opportunity. But my brother and I wanna go back later and check some stuff out.
Anyway, I'm turning in more job applications to the mall again this Saturday. Hopefully someone calls me back. I'm really looking into American Eagle, Anchor Blue, and Aeropostale. Apparently, at Aero, you have to kiss major ass just to get hours, and I don't know how good I'd be at that. But at Forever 21, even though it's the most ghetto, you make a lot of money, because they give you hours even when you don't WANT them. So, I guess that's good, since I have nothing else to do at the moment.

Anyway, I start my first driving lesson tomorrow from 10 am to 12 am, with my friend from driving school. One hour each, cruising on the road. No parking lots, just straight to the road. And my fifth drive lesson will be on the highway, probably in August. So yeah, I'm scared for my life, but let's go! I'm also excited. I look to that shiny new driver's license in December for inspiration.
I can see the light. And it's getting closer!

My greatest loves.

1. Michael Jackson
We all know that I love Michael Jackson. He was amazing, a great humanitarian, and a great musician, and just a great down-to-earth person. His music, his lyrics, his voice, made him special. Which is why he has the number one spot. He was innocent, and a beautiful soul. RIP MJ. I love him too much.

2. Ricardo Kaká
Everyone knows that this is my favorite athlete in the entire world. And if you didn't know that by now, where have you been? I love this guy so much. He's amazing. His devout Christianity and superb faith and trust in God never ceases to amaze me. This guy doesn't even drink, no matter how wild and crazy those soccer player parties must get. He is absolutely GORGEOUS and he's amazing at soccer. I can't even explain in words how much I absolutely LOVE this guy.

3. Cristiano Ronaldo
He may be a big douche with a big ego sometimes, but he's also a big family man. I admire the fact that even though he has a busy schedule, goes to lots of parties, has sex with lots of women, and is basically the opposite of Kaká , that he still finds time to hang with his family. He says they're his biggest inspiration and he values his time with them. And NO, the reason I love him is not because he's hot. (But it's definitely a great bonus.) It's because he's amazing at soccer. No matter what the haters say, he's one of the best in the world. He does not suck. So SUCK IT. I love Cristiano Ronaldo.

4. Michelle Branch
This woman is the epitome of underrated singers. Her lyrics are just plain amazing. She writes really good songs, and her voice is fantastic. I truly love her music. Nothing else I can say. (Eh eh)

5. Matthew Broderick
Okay, this guy is probably the most underrated actor I know. He's well known for his role in Ferris Bueller, but everyone says his career sucked after that movie. I STILL haven't seen the whole movie. But I know that he's had many other good movies. And his performance in the movie "Glory" was just spectacular and never fully recognized. This man is truly special.

Okay, I'm done for now.

Apparently, Portugal CAN'T do this.

Wow, this game was dreadful. Portugal was kind of humiliated out there today. They played like girls, little ballerinas leaping and doing pirouettes. I swear, they were dancing better than my dance teachers. Cristiano Ronaldo kept tripping, in fact, EVERYONE kept tripping. Jesus Christ, it was annoying. I'm gonna miss Portugal, I wanted to final round to be Brazil vs Portugal, and Brazil to win, but oh well. The way they played, they deserved to go home. During the whole game, I sat there asking if this was the Woman's World Cup, I swear they played like little girls. Jumping Jehoshaphat. I can't believe I just said that. :/
Ugh, I'm pissed.

I still love you, C Ronaldo. <3

The 7 Things I hate the most.

Since I've been talking about nothing but soccer, since my 2 week blog-drought, I thought I'd talk about something else. My biggest pet peeves.

7.
Negative Nancies
These people always have to bring others down. They have to make every little thing a big deal and they always have to turn something positive into something negative. Certain negative Nancies walk into class everyday with a frown on their face. Hon, the world isn't ending. You don't have to imply such possibilities with your countenance. Christ.

Scenario:
Girl 1: Hey guys, guess what?
Friends: What?
Girl 1: My parents said we're going New York over the summer! Isn't that great? We get to go to Central Park and Times Square and we even get to see Wicked on Broadway!
Miss Negative Nancy: Puh-lease. New York's not even all that great. It's so overrated. The pizza is way too greasy, the people just suck, it's freakishly cold, and the cast of Wicked have horrible voices. I'd much rather go to California. But have fun.

You little bitch.

6. People Who Just Don't Understand
This, of course, can be anybody. No matter how much you try to drop hints and clues that they're annoying the living fuck out of you, they just don't seem to get it.

Scenario: You're sitting there, minding your own damn business, and your annoying friend comes up to you and starts telling her whole fucking life story. You just stare at her, and she keeps talking. You get up to get a drink of water from the fountain, she follows you and continues her story, no matter how loud you sip and slurp to shut her up. You sit back down and she's still talking. You roll your eyes and this bitch is STILL talking. You look at others like "When is she gonna shut up?" She's looking at you, she can clearly see your facial expression, and she's STILL talking. What is she, stupid? Do you have to slap the shit out of her to make her understand? Christ.

Okay, so that was a bit exaggerated, but you get the point.

5. Republicans and/or Crazy Christians.
*Technically, this should be much further down the list, but I don't really care.
*I apologize for generalizing. It's not ALL Republicans, but most Republicans, especially down here in the South.

Okay, if you're Republican, this might or might not apply to you. If you're offended, I don't give a fuck. Now, I'm a Christian, and my family is very religious, but there are those crazy Republican Christians who are little bit...coo-coo? Let's take the 2008 presidential election into mind. Now, of COURSE you don't have to be a Democrat like me. You don't HAVE to like Obama like I do. You can do whatever the fuck you want. It's a free country. But I don't get how these crazy-ass mothafuckas have to find a way to blame everything on Obama. The dude just got into office about a year and a half ago. These crazy ass Republicans are finding ways to blame him for everything that's wrong with our country. Sorry guys, that fault goes to the previous president of Idiocy, George Monkey Bush. He helped to further ruin America, and somehow everything that sucks is now Obama's fault. These bitches could blame global warning on Obama. Jesus.
And these crazy ass Christian Republican looneys really get on my nerves. They feel that they can take it upon themselves to free the world of sin. "Let's go kill the gays because God hates fags!" Who the fuck gave you that power? Killing is wrong in the first place, so I don't see why they think it's okay to do that.
Here's our blast from the past: Remember John Lennon and the whole "we're bigger than Jesus" conflict? Yeah, it was wrong to say (*smacks John Lennon) but it was totally taken out of context. Only the Bible Belt looneys down here took it so seriously. Burning your Beatles records, posters, books, all because of that? That's a bit crazy. I mean, YOU paid for it.
I mean, these guys can do whatever they want, it's their choice. I'm just saying, it annoys the fuck out of me.

4. Teen couples
I don't hate teen couples. I really don't. But what I do hate about a lot of teen couples is the fact that they think they're in love and nothing can go wrong. Please. You don't even know what love is. I choose to concentrate on my school work and just have fun while I'm still a teenager. You know, hang out with friends, and NOT be totally committed to a guy who just wants sex and who I won't even be with forever.
It's like, how STUPID can these girls be? These bitches will sit on Facebook, updating their status about how much they've learned in life, and how they've matured. But they haven't. They're still the typical, naive little teenage nutters that we all are. We're ALL naive. But SOME of us (moi) choose to learn from our mistakes and move on. These girls just don't seem to get it. It's a rare case when a teenage boy really DOES love his girlfriend. In fact, I know some of those people. The problem is, EVERY girl thinks she HAS this relationship. I mean, don't you see your friend getting crushed by her boyfriend? Getting used for nothing but sex? Haven't you ever seen those cheesy ass shows like the Secret Life and Degrassi? Lessons can actually be learned from these pathetic shows.
I should really say more, but I'm not going to. This should really be lower on the list too.

3. Fake Bitches
Don't we all hate these people? It's like, I don't even know WHICH of your faces to look at, since you have TWO of them. They'll tell you a story one day, and tell another girl another story the next. Make up your mind, bitch, and leave your middle school drama shit at the door. You're making a mess.

2. Haters
You know those people who have to hate on EVERYTHING no matter what? Yeah, this spot in my countdown is dedicated those guys. FYI, this is about celebrity-haters...They're kind of like Negative Nancy, only much more negative. No matter how great or sweet or talented a celebrity is, they ALWAYS have to be picky about something. Every celebrity has a hater. But seriously, don't these people have anything better to do?

Scenario:
Me: Don't you just love Kaka? He's such a great player with a good personality. He's a very religious faithful person; he doesn't drink, his favorite book is the bible, his favorite music is gospel, he does humanitarian campaigns, and he's one of the few athletes in the entire planet who was actually a VIRGIN until he got married! Wow, what a guy! Not to mention he's one of the best fucking soccer players in the whole world.
(lmao, whatever, you get the point!)
Hater: No, he's been sucking, especially after he left AC Milan for evil Real Madrid! Blah blah blah! *picks nose. He's been missing passes and hasn't made a single goal for this World Cup! BLAH BLAH BLAH!

Okay, not the perfect scenario, but you get the point. I hate Kaka haters. EVERYONE knows you can't ALWAYS be on top of your game. I'd like to see THEM to better.

1. Stereotypes
I can honestly tell you that stereotypes and generalizations are what annoy me the most. Let's skip the description and go straight to the scenario, shall we?

Scenario: Let's say I'm up in New Jersey. What I'm doing there, I don't know. Just go with it.
Girl 1: Hey, where are you from?
Me: I'm from Texas.
Girl 1: Oh. That's cool. Do you have a ranch down there? (so unsuspecting, such an innocent question from the little bitch.)
Me: ...No.
Girl 2: Do y'all like, ride horses to school? How do you deal with traffic?!
Girl 3: Do you have one of those ten-gallon hats? Can I see?!
Girl 4: How's life down in hicksville?!
Me: Oh yeah? Where's Snooki and the rest of the gang?!
*SILENCE
Me: *clears throat....Yes, yes I do ride horses to school, and if we're late, we have to go to the Tardy Barn. And traffic's a bitch, what with the horses neighing if you cut them off. It's a crazy life.

Yee-haw, bitch. This scenario was actually half-true. My friend went up to New York, and all these people kept asking similar questions to those. I hate stereotypes. I mean, it's human nature and all, but some people take it too far.

So, there you have it. The seven things I hate the most that people do.

SHA.

Come on Portugal, you can do this!

Okay, so today Portugal's playing Spain. I'm truly rooting for them. I know I'm a Brazil lover, but I want the final 2 to be Brazil and Portugal. After Brazil, I'm all for Portugal. So I hope they win today against Spain.
But the thing is, Spain's players are hardcore. They're awesome. They kick ass. They're rated the second best in the world. And Portugal's the third. So it'll be an interesting match, that's for sure. I really don't know if Portugal will win or not, but I sure hope they do. :/
C'mon guys, you got this.

FUCK YEAH. Brazil, y'all are fucking BEASTS.

I can't explain how ecstatic I am that Brazil beat Chile. I mean, they made like 2 goals in the first 37 minutes. You beasts, you!
At first, they were playing like shit. They weren't having the ball for the majority of the time like they usually do, and I was pissed off at them. Then, they started playing a little bit better.
The first goal was the result of a brilliant pass from Kaká to Juan, who made a nice header straight into the net. And BAM. My ass was dancing around like a cage monkey. After that, they got their shit up. But Kaka got a yellow card which pissed me off, because once again, it was even that big of a deal. But towards the end, he went off, which was a good thing, so he couldn't get anymore yellow cards.
Anyway, the second goal was made because of a pass from, I think it was Kaka again, to Fabiano. The goalie ran out to try and block him, and slipped. Then Fabiano simply walked around him and kicked the ball in. Simple and EASY as hell. It was great. The third goal was made by Robinho, who had been trying for quite some time to make one. Good for you! lol okay I'm being distracted by Friends. Phoebe is singing about NYC losing power, so I'm losing my train of thought...
Okay bye. ;)

Sooo...game stats?

Status of Friday's game:
Portugal: 0
Brazil: 0
So they tied with nil. But no complaints here, it was a good game. I was mostly satisfied, minus the fact that KAKA AND ELANO DIDN'T GET TO PLAY! Kaka, cause of that stupid red card, and Elano because of that injury. And Robinho because I DON'T KNOW WHY. He wasn't injured. He didn't have a red card. Get your ass in the game.
I can't even explain how much I wanted to see Kaka go against Cristiano Ronaldo, since they're both like, the best soccer players on their team (imo).Anyway, both teams played a great game. Of course, Brazil had the ball longer than their opponent, as usual.
They both had some really good "almost-goals", but there was always that one thing that got in the way of a perfect goal. Deflections, tripping, running smack into each other. It was a very interesting game. So, good job guys.
But I have one thing to say: Brazil, win that damn game against Chile on Monday. Or else, I'm flying to Brazil to help the civilians pelt fruit at you as you exit the plane.
Now, here in America, that's not what we do. Most people here don't care for soccer, except when it comes to the World Cup. In fact, I didn't even know the name of our city's soccer team til my brother told me yesterday. Anyway, the only time people go that crazy over sports is over in the east, in Boston, and New York, what with the crazy ass Yankees vs Red Sox thing going on.
Death threats, mobs, etc. are common courtesy in this rivalry. My brother told me that, was it France or Italy? well, one of them...got pelted with rotten tomatoes for losing the World Cup in previous years. That stinks. There's the one, tiny pile of shit in your thick-as-hell silver lining of being an athlete. I'd die to be pelted with tomatoes for the money those lucky bitches get. So no complaints, y'hear?
Anyway, Brazil needs to beat Chile on Monday, and Portugal needs to beat...who is it, Spain? on Tuesday. In the end, I hope it's these two facing off. But god dammit, we still got Argentina in the way. And god dammit, they've got Messi. And god dammit, he's got skill. I hate to say this, but he's better than Kaka and Ronaldo, god dammit. >:(
But Brazil's got the best team on the planet, god dammit, and they'd better win this thing.
On a worse note, I'm horrified to say that Kaka might not be in the next World Cup in 4 years. He'll be 32, which is kind of old in soccer terms. But hopefully, he'll be in the Olympics in 2 years. He better be, anyway.

So that's all for my god damned review. And that's enough god damned "god dammits". I'm annoyed with myself. :/

So apparently I have a stalker.

Um, Mia, you should stop stalking me, especially since you get mad at me for going on YOUR page.

That is all.

MY NEW OBSESSION!!

As you all know (well, NOW you know) my new obsession is SOCCER!! Or if you're from anywhere besides America, FOOTBALL!!
I've been strangely interested in the 2010 World Cup. Now I've been speaking soccer terms, and looking up soccer videos, and telling my brother who scored what, and complaining about Kaka getting a TOTALLY undeserved red card. Pshh.
My other new obsession is Kaká, Brazil's star player. He's a beast at soccer, one of the BEST players in the whole world, and he might just be the hottest guy I've ever seen. I mean come on, he's a foreign soccer player, and everyone knows those guys are the hottest guys in sports. A lot of girls prefer Cristiano Ronaldo, the soccer equivalent to Kobe Bryant: GREAT player, cocky attitude, but I say Ricardo Kaká.
Anyway, now I know all these players that I would never have been able to tell you about last week, excluding Kaká, Ronaldo, and Messi. People like Drogba, Robinho, Elano, Lucio, Fabiano, and every other "o" you've heard.
Tomorrow's the big game: Brazil vs. Portugal. Portugal scored freaking 7 points in their last game against North Korea, but I think Brazil can beat them, since they ARE the best in the world. Unfortunately, Kaká won't get to be in this next game thanks to that gay referee giving him an unfair red card for accidentally elbowing someone in the chest, unless by some miracle the officials or whoever revoke the card. And unless Elano got better from his last injury, he won't be in it either. But they've still got Fabiano, who scored them 2 goals in the last game, even though one was kind of a handball, but the referee didn't see that, so who's complaining? Not me. And they've still got Robinho and Lucio and Julio Cesar, one of the best goalies in the world. So they've definitely got a chance. Unfortunately, Portugal's got cocky old Ronaldo. >:( And hey, they're beasts at soccer too. I just want Brazil to win.
And I know I'm American and all, and should be ultimately voting for the US, but I just know they won't win. It would sure as hell be nice, but for some reason, I have a soft spot for Brazil.
So uh, GO USA!!! Then, go Brazil!!!

Anyway, I have soccer highlights to watch online, so...gtfo.

Let's Play Catch-Up.

Okay, since the last time I've posted here, I've gotten my learner's permit, and....THAT'S IT.

So my summer's going a bit slow. Happens to the best of us, right? Well, I still got a lot of summerin' to do. I still gotta sign up for Government and Economics to take over the summer so I have room for French III next year. And I have yet to get a job. I turned in more applications on Sunday, and low and behold, I screwed up AGAIN.
The fairly obvious thing to do was give your application to the managers, and NOT to the employees, Chantal. Whoops. I spoke to my friend Janet on the phone and found out I gave my Aeropostale form to the one crazy girl in the store. Now I'm afraid she like, tore up my paper, ate it, then beat on her chest like King Kong. :/

On a POSITIVE note, I start my drive times next Thursday. I have three drive times this month. I can start this, then get my license by at least December. :)

Monday, June 7, 2010

Vroom vroom.

I couldn't be more excited about FINALLY starting driving school today. I'm freaking seventeen, and I don't even have my permit. Jesus. So I'm really excited about today. I'll finally be able to drive to Wal Mart to get Whales snacks, and not depend on my brother's good or bad mood.
Anyway...peace. ;D

SCHOOL IS OUT!!! Will Smith, SING YO SONG!!

I am sooo ecstatic that school is out. So, ya know how yesterday, my life totally sucked? Well, now it doesn't! My dad signed me up for driving school and I went to the attendance office for my VOE form, and I'm starting on Monday! FINALLY! And I'm gonna be taking Government and Economics over the summer, for free, cause I'm in Dual. So I can get that over with and have an extra free period, and now I can be in French 3 again which will make me a Distinguished Scholar when I graduate. Now that I got my shit together, I can finally relax. All I have to do, is come back on August 3rd, talk to my counselor and fix the rest of my schedule. Then I'll be all set.

Beastin'. ;)

Thursday, June 3, 2010

With one day left? Really?

So, I somehow managed to fuck up my schedule for next year. This can't happen, I'm gonna be a SENIOR DAMMIT!!
My schedule's gotta rock! So I signed up for clinical like a month ago, and I totally don't want to be in it anymore, cause I heard it was NOT worth it. Plus it's 3 class periods. Then AP Chem (I replaced AP Bio with it) is double-block. Today I went to my counselor and all this junk happened. Now I have to change my schedule again, but it has to be August 3rd, which is when they're coming back. Somehow, I'm not in French 3 anymore, and I'm not on the list for senior leadership.
Ugh, my school life's a shitty mess right now. I have to fix it before I kill myself.
And all this happened with ONE day of school left? God-damn. FML.

Wednesday, June 2, 2010

Almost there...

Two days of school, and three classes til I'm a SENIOR.
Tomorrow, they'll be unveiling the new Class of 2011 sign in the commons at 7:00, and [I'll be there] for sure. I can't wait to be a senior. I'm gonna have the time of my life.
I'm gonna be Vice President for choir (YES, WE HAVE OFFICER POSITIONS.) And unlike the usual officers who never did anything, we'll actually be doing a lot of stuff next year, cause we'll have a new teacher. I'm gonna miss my old choir teacher a lot, though.
Anyway, I'll be VP for choir, Secretary for NHS, I'll be in Student Council, level 3 dance, Senior Leadership (not necessarily a good thing), and I'll be in AP Bio (which will undoubtedly KICK MY ASS.)
I plan on making the most of my last summer in high school too. I'm going to get a job, I'm going to driving school (FINALLY!!), and I'm gonna just plain relax. But I'm also gonna get on my shit: summer assignments and scholarship searches. (Not that I haven't been searching) College is coming up, and UT, Baylor, Texas Tech, Stanford, are what I'm looking into. Especially UT and Baylor.
So, plan:
Thursday: Take physics final-Goodbye Ms. Martin :'(- then go to dance, chill, and watch the dance show on dvd. Then go HOME.
Friday: Go to Dr. Scott's class, and take "what color is the white house" test, say final goodbyes to my peers, and then go HOME.
THEN.....
IT'S SUMMERTIME, BITCHES!

Bueller...Bueller...

So, you all know about my ever-increasing love of my new favorite actor, Matthew Broderick. And if you don't...KNOW IT.
Ever since old Dr. S showed us that "Glory" movie in US History, I've been very interested in Matthew Broderic, Colonel Shaw, and the 54th regiment of Massachusetts. Oh, and did I mention Matthew Broderick?
It all started with Glory, but now I've moved on to some of his other movies, like "WarGames", and the popular classic 80s comedy, "Ferris Bueller's Day Off".
Would you believe I haven't finished watching it yet? And I have to yet to watch WarGames too. And I've just rented "The Freshman" from the library. So I'm gonna have a very Bueller weekend, while everyone is taking their SATs, which I took care of...TWICE. Ha and ha.
Beastin. ;)

Happy Memorial Day

In honor of all the soldiers that have died in American wars.
I have recently become obsessed with the movie "Glory" and Matthew Broderick is my new favorite actor. Memorial Day makes me think of Colonel Robert Gould Shaw who led one of the first black regiments in the American Civil War, and how they all gave up their lives to fight for their freedom.
So, uh...happy memorial day. God bless.

Eh-hem.

Dammit summer, hurry up!!

There's only ONE week until school ends and summer break begins.
I couldn't be more excited for senior year. I passed all my TAKS, and now I don't have to worry about not graduating. I'll admit I was very worried about the science portion, since I stink at science. Which kinda sucks since I have to major in biology to become an oncologist...And I'm taking AP biology next year...
Anyway, all I have to do is get through this week and then summer begins! I can't wait, cause I'm tired of school, and even more tired of being a junior.
Summer needs to get here quick, so I can sing Summertime by the Fresh Prince repeatedly. So I can wake up and NOT have to panic about being late to school. So I can sleep in for hours and hours. So I can get a summer job, and finally have money to buy the things I want and go where I wanna go. So I can watch Full House and Saved By the Bell and Fresh Prince marathons. So I can watch Arthur and Gilmore Girls in the morning. So I can talk to my friends all day on Facebook, and not have to be MIA from Yahoo! Answers all the time. So I can sit back and watch drama unfold on Formspring and not have to miss a second of it. So I can go to Six Flags, and possibly SeaWorld again. So I can lay in bed, and daydream, and reminisce, while drinking an ice cold Root Beer, while watching BrainSurge. So I can catch up on two semesters worth of lost sleep, DAMMIT.

So c'mon summer. I'll be waiting, baby. ;)

This goes out to all the celebrities that have died.

Wow, it's just too much. It's really sad.
1) Michael Jackson: my favorite artist of all time. I grew up on his Dangerous album, listening to Black or White, Who Is It, and Heal the World. His death was probably the darkest, most depressive time of my life. I cried for over 3 months. I don't think I'll ever forget June 25, 2009. But he lives on through his music.
2) John Lennon: He was an amazing artist and a great person. I didn't become a fan of him until some time after Michael Jackson's death. I first saw the video for "Say Say Say" when they were doing all of Michael's videos after he died. Then I became interested in Paul McCartney, which led to research of the Beatles, which led to my current love and obsession with John Winston Lennon. I know I wasn't even alive when he died on December 8, 1980, but if it's anything like Michael Jackson's death, then I know how his fans must have felt.
3) George Harrison: a former member of the Beatles, who died from cancer which is horrible. I love him as a part of the Beatles, but I never really listened to his solo music. RIP.
4) Tupac: I watched 100 Most Shocking Moments in Music, and and Pac's death was on the list. It was horrible. I don't remember his death, because I was too young, but it's still sad to think about. He was an amazing rapper with deep lyrics and he was only 25.
5) Biggie: I especially love Big Poppa! Like Pac, I don't remember when he died, but it's still sad to know that someone who was only 24 had to go out like that. RIP Biggie Smalls.
6) Aaliyah: Even though this was like in 2002, I think I do remember when she died, and all the fuss it created. I remember seeing all her videos on tv and it being on the news and everything. It was horrible to know someone so young died in a plane crash, not only because of a drunk pilot, but also because the load was too heavy. RIP Aaliyah. She was an amazing artist.
7) Gary Coleman: he just died a few hours ago, as of May 28, 2010, 3:30 pm. It's really sad to come back from school and find out that he died from a brain hemorrhage. He was only 42. I'm not gonna pretend I was a huge fan, but I did like Diff'rent Strokes, and if marathons come on as a tribute, I'll watch a lot of the episodes. It's really sad. RIP Gary Coleman. :(

I know I'm missing a shit load of people, but I've got things to do, and I covered the ones I could think of for now. Rest in peace.

Allow me to introduce myself.

I guess I'm a newbie on this thing.
So let's play the introduction game. Y'know, the one where we all sit in a circle and tell a little bit about ourselves. *Crickets* Well, looks like it's just me. Ho ho ho. There goes my dry humor again.

So. I'm 17-years-old. I'm a junior in high school; in a week or so, I'll be a SENIOR when summer starts. And I'm so excited for the new year.
School life: I'm the new secretary of the National Honor Society (we officers are a proud people. ho ho.), I'm an active member of Student Council and the Multi-cultural club, and the soon-to-be vice president of A Cappela. Sound nerdy? You got it, bitch.
I may be a nerd, but I can get crunk.
I like my school fairly enough. I love my friends, who shall remain nameless for now, and I dislike half of the student body, because they act like cage monkeys.
Activities: NHS, Student Council, Multi-cultural club, dance, choir, and piano.
Non-school life: I love to read. I live on Facebook. I like to eat. I'm a Christian. They call me the Grammar Fairy. Grammatical error, I'll zap your ass.
Movies: Mean Girls, Freedom Writers, Help! With the Beatles, and Glory.
Musicians: Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Aaliyah, Beyonce, etc, etc.
TV shows: FRIENDS, Arthur, The Hills, BrainSurge, Gilmore Girls, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Full House, Saved By the Bell, The Nanny, The Cosby Show, etc, etc.

ETC, ETC.

Blah blah blah.
